Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
